\nRescues also need medication for worms, treatment of existing injuries and illness, as well as vaccinations against dreaded diseases like parvovirus, distemper and rabies.

\n\t\t\t\t\t\tRabies is still prevalent in Tanzania so mothers teach their children to stay away from all dogs. Dogs are at best tolerated, at worst despised, even shot or poisoned

\nWe teach children the importance or water, food, shelter, medicine and exercise for their pets and the basics of dog behaviour to try and alleviate the fear that has been instilled in them. \n\t\t\t\t\t\tAs much as we would love to rescue every stray on the streets of Arusha, we simply do not have the capacity or funds to do so.<\/br> <\/br>\nWe go out into the community to feed and care for those animals who are surviving on the streets and remove those who are not.
